Episode 1: Susanna – Integrity Under Pressure

(Daniel 13 – Apocrypha)

Introduction: A Lily Among Thorns

In the Apocryphal additions to Daniel, tucked away in what many call “the forgotten books”, is the story of Susanna — a righteous woman whose testimony of faithfulness stands as a beacon for women today. Her name means lily — a symbol of purity, resilience, and beauty even in the harshest conditions. Susanna was not merely a passive figure; her integrity under pressure changed the course of judgment and left a legacy that still speaks.

The Story as Written

“Therefore when she was led to be put to death, Yahuah raised up the holy spirit of a young child, whose name was Daniel: Who cried with a loud voice, I am clear from the blood of this woman.”
— Susanna / Daniel 13:45–46

Cliffs Notes: What Happened?

  • The setting: Susanna was the daughter of a righteous man and the wife of Joakim, a wealthy and respected man in Babylon.
  • The corruption: Two elders — judges of the people — became consumed by lust for her.
  • The trap: They cornered her while she bathed in her garden, demanding she lie with them or face false accusations.
  • Her choice: Susanna refused, crying out to Yahuah even though she knew she would be condemned.
  • The trial: The elders testified falsely. The people believed them, and Susanna was sentenced to die.
  • The deliverance: Yahuah stirred the spirit of Daniel, a young prophet, who exposed the elders’ lies by questioning them separately. Their testimony collapsed, and Susanna was vindicated.

Theme: Integrity under pressure brings deliverance and honor.

Her Name in Hebrew: שׁוֹשַׁנָּה (Shoshannah)

Susanna’s name is not random — it prophetically mirrors her story.

  • Meaning: Lily or rose. In Scripture, lilies symbolize purity, covenant beauty, and faithfulness. Solomon’s Temple pillars were crowned with lily designs (1 Kings 7:19, 22), and the lily is a symbol of Israel in the Song of Songs (2:1–2).

Letter-by-Letter Study

  • ש (Shin): Teeth, fire, refining, divine judgment. → Susanna was tested in the fire of judgment, but Yahuah refined and defended her.
  • ו (Vav): Nail, hook, connection, securing. → Her integrity remained secured to Yahuah, not corrupted men.
  • ש (Shin again): Fire repeated, intensifying purification. → She endured two flames — the threat of sin and the threat of death — yet remained steadfast.
  • נ (Nun): Seed, life, continuation, faithfulness. → Her testimony produced life and established faith for generations.
  • ה (Hey): Breath, revelation, divine spirit. → Her prayer released divine revelation through Daniel, exposing the liars.
Shoshannah (Susanna) = “A woman refined by fire, joined to Yahuah, who blossoms into life through divine revelation.”

Why This Matters for Women Today

Susanna’s story is not just ancient history — it is a mirror for the struggles women face in every generation:

  • Integrity under pressure: In a world that demands compromise for acceptance, Susanna shows the strength of choosing righteousness.
  • Courage to stand alone: She was willing to face death rather than dishonor Yahuah.
  • Yahuah as defender: When systems of power turned against her, Yahuah raised up a voice to defend her.

For women today — in workplaces, schools, relationships, and communities — the pressure to bend, to conform, or to yield is strong. Susanna teaches us that even if everyone else believes the lie, Yahuah sees the truth.

Encouragement

Call to Righteousness

Be a Susanna in this generation. Stand strong even when accused falsely. Guard your purity and your covenant with Yahuah. Remember: you are defined not by the lies of men, but by the Esteem of your Creator.

Your trials are not wasted. They are the fire that refines you, the testimony that reveals Yahuah’s justice, and the seed that blossoms into life for others.

Warfare Against the Awakening – Part 1: Subterfuge

The Hidden War

The deadliest wars are not always fought on open battlefields. Sometimes the most devastating weapons are words, contracts, and promises. This is the essence of subterfuge—deception that hides destruction behind friendship.

Subterfuge is the enemy’s oldest tactic. It blinds people before the sword is ever lifted. In Scripture, it is called ʿormah (עָרְמָה)—craftiness, cunning. The same word describes both the serpent in Genesis 3 and the Gibeonites who tricked Joshua. The method is the same across history: appear harmless, promise peace, and strike once trust is secured.

This article explores how subterfuge appears in the Bible, how it was weaponized to conquer Africa, and how it continues today against the awakening of Black Hebrews.

“Not every outstretched hand is a friend.” — Sirach 12:10

Subterfuge in the Bible

The Gibeonite Trick (Joshua 9)

When Israel entered the land, the Gibeonites feared destruction. They disguised themselves with worn-out clothes and stale bread, pretending to be distant travelers. They asked Joshua to make a covenant (berit, בְּרִית).

Joshua’s mistake? “The men of Israel took their provisions, but did not ask counsel of Yahuah” (Joshua 9:14). Once the covenant was made, Israel was bound. A nation that should have been conquered was instead protected—by deceit.

Judas Maccabeus and Nicanor (1 Maccabees 7 & 9)

  • 1 Maccabees 7:10–18 shows Nicanor arriving “with words of peace in his mouth” but plotting betrayal.
  • 1 Maccabees 9:1–18 records Judas being drawn into a battle shaped by deceit and overwhelming force. Though he fought bravely, he was killed.

The Greek word used here is dolos (δόλος)—craft, bait, fraud. It describes a trap set with friendly bait.

Subterfuge in Africa

The Berlin Conference (1884–85)

In Berlin, European powers divided Africa like a cake. They called it bringing “civilization,” “order,” and “development.” Not a single African voice was invited. Borders were drawn on maps thousands of miles away, ignoring tribes, cultures, and kingdoms. The result was war, famine, and disunity that still scars the continent.

Proof: Historian Thomas Pakenham describes the conference as a “paper partition” that became the blueprint for military invasion.

The Treaty of Wuchale (1889)

Ethiopia signed a treaty with Italy in two languages. The Amharic version called it a friendship pact. The Italian version declared Ethiopia a protectorate of Italy. When Menelik II discovered the trick, he resisted—and Ethiopia won at Adwa (1896).

Proof: Research in The Journal of African History notes the Italian text was deliberately mistranslated—a textbook case of diplomatic subterfuge.

Missionaries as the First Wave

Missionaries often arrived before soldiers. They learned languages, mapped regions, and built schools. Many were sincere, but their presence softened resistance. By the time armies came, locals had already accepted outsiders as “friends.”

Proof: Historian Lamin Sanneh documents how missions and colonial administrations often worked hand in hand, especially in West Africa.

Subterfuge Today

  • Digital Platforms: Social networks invite us to “connect and share,” yet algorithms can bury content tied to Black identity, Hebrew awakening, or anti‑colonial narratives—visibility stolen quietly.
  • Governments: Surveillance programs promoted as “safety” track, monitor, and neutralize dissent.
  • Religious Systems: Many preach Scripture yet hide the Name of Yahuah, erase Hebrew identity, and promote doctrines designed to pacify, not empower.

The mask is still friendship, but the goal is still control.

Lessons for the Awakening

  1. Discern Before Agreement: Joshua’s error was not asking Yahuah. Before joining movements, signing contracts, or accepting “help,” pray, research, and discern.
  2. Read the Fine Print: Hidden clauses betray intent. Ask: Who benefits? Who controls?
  3. Expect Soft Words from Hard Enemies: Judas faced friendly words before betrayal; expect the same today.
“Never trust your enemy: for like as iron rusts, so is his wickedness.” — Sirach 12:10

Closing

Subterfuge is the first weapon in the war against our people. From the Gibeonites to Judas Maccabeus, from the Berlin Conference to Wuchale, from platform algorithms to policy—the tactic endures. But discernment breaks its power.

The awakening must learn: test every word, question every covenant, and seek Yahuah before signing away authority.

Next, in Part 2: Asymmetry, we’ll see how small forces dominate entire nations through fear, technology, and strategy—the few against the many.

Why HR Don't Call Back

Why HR Don’t Call Back — Brother Truth Why HR Don’t Call Back A set-apart brother walks into Babylon’s interview and answers every question like it’s a pop quiz on Leviticus. Brother Truth didn’t just walk into the interview — he marched in like Babylon itself had to answer for something. Afro tight, fringes swinging, Scriptures tucked under his arm like HR paperwork. Lobby — “Interview? I’m

here for provision.” Inside, three managers sat with clipboards. “Why do you want to work here?” one asked. “I don’t,” Brother Truth replied. “But the Word says if a man doesn’t work, he doesn’t eat. So here I am.” Interview table — culture fit buffering… They tried a team-culture test: “If the team ordered pizza, what topping would you pick?” Brother Truth leaned forward like judgment day

had arrived. “First off, don’t bring swine near me. Lamb is lawful. Chicken works. Bitter herbs if you really about that Exodus life. Pineapple? That’s confusion.” “Pineapple? That’s confusion.” “What makes you unique?” the head manager asked. Brother Truth didn’t blink. “I don’t bow to pagan holidays. No Christmas sweaters. No Easter eggs. If y’all need a Secret Santa, I’ll be the Secret Prophet — outside with

Cousin Zay: “Bruh, you turned a job interview into street preaching.” Big E — Elazar: “Forget benefits, you was handing out commandments.” Tali — Naftali: “HR typed ‘Jeremiah 10??’ like it was a

Brother Truth just grinned. “Laugh if you want. Somebody in HR is reading Jeremiah 10 tonight. Seed planted.”
